Gabriel Dozal, a talented poet from El Paso, Texas, is the mastermind behind "The Border Simulator/El Simulador de Fronteras." His work has been featured in esteemed publications such as Poetry magazine, Guernica, and The Iowa Review. José Olivarez, the son of Mexican immigrants, has also made a significant impact in the literary world. He is the author of two poetry collections, including "Promises of Gold," which has been longlisted for the 2023 National Book Awards for poetry. Olivarez's debut book of poems, "Citizen Illegal," was a finalist for the PEN/Jean Stein Book Award and received accolades from NPR, The Adroit Journal, and the New York Public Library.
