ABOUT THE PERFORMER Formed in 2021, LENK Quartet is a violin-cello-clarinet-piano quartet composed of active musicians of classical music, all born, bred and based in Hong Kong. They came together when seasoned pianist Nancy Loo was invited by HKU MUSE to give a concert, and she started up the group with young violinist Kitty Cheung, cellist Eric Yip, and clarinettist Linus Fung. The name ‘LENK’ is the combination of first letters of the members’ English names—Linus, Eric, Nancy, and Kitty. They are committed to giving their audience top quality live performances with their engaging and multicoloured playing. In 2022, LENK Quartet gave two major recitals ‘Simple Gifts by LENK Quartet’ and ‘LENK’s Quartet for the End of Time‘, presented in LSCD’s Chamber Music Connections Series and Tai Kwun’s Prison Yard Festival respectively. LENK Quartet is the Ensemble-in-Residence 2022-23 at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Ensemble-in-Residence 2023-24 at the Education University of Hong Kong.
