This one-on-one private studio session is part of our new Spring Rhythm series—an artistic, meditative, and one-of-a-kind eco-craft and printing experience inspired by the season’s renewal. You’ll join me at my print table, inside my home studio, for a personal, hands-on journey into the timeless art of block printing. Together, we’ll create wearable and functional art inspired by the rhythm of spring, using botanical, geometric, or nature-inspired motifs to bring your woodblock designs to life. If you feel inspired by our work and words, you are welcome to bring your own textiles to recycle, repurpose, and reuse. We encourage slow making, exploration, and creativity. This is a rare opportunity to learn more about heritage craft, the master printers we learn from, and our work alongside artisans in traditional craft communities. I have many stories to share and I hope that I will inspire you to head out to India and beyond to explore the print crafts. We work exclusively with natural fibres.

What You’ll Learn:– The rich history of woodblock printing and how to do visual research in archives. – How block printing continues to inspire modern design and sustainable textile practices. – How to design and print your own unique motifs. – Step-by-step guidance on creating repeat patterns. –Techniques for working with biodegradable, water-based inks . – Best practices for printing on organic cotton fabric and natural Khadi paper. – How to apply inks, and creative techniques for good , crisp prints. – Creative tips for layering color and experimenting with placement. – How to care for your prints and continue your eco-print journey at home. – The principles of eco-crafting: reusing, repurposing, and creating with intention. – How to bring new life to old textiles by printing on your own pieces. – An understanding of the ethical supply chain and how we work. – Insight into our work with master printers and traditional craft communities in India. – Ways to connect your creative process to sustainability, storytelling, and slow design. How we work and what you’ll work with:- This is a signature Māya experience, open to one person at a time. - All materials for the workshops are provided. - A curated collection of hand-carved blocks. - Non-toxic, biodegradable and eco-friendly inks for safe and sustainable printing. - We offer our in-house colours that we mix for each workshop series. - Guidance on inks and mixing your own colours. - All the tools you need: brushes, dampers, scissors, rulers, pencils, irons and aprons. - Selection of cotton fabric for test prints: our #FLOW test prints are a hit. -You have acess to our whole test print and craft collections and archive. - Choose from our “Craft Your Art Collection” of products to print on; products are specific to each workshop, we have something special for everyone. - Access to our  RE-CREATE  line- We source cotton and linnnen for print pojects. We are exited and inspired to be working with our mini archive of textiles that we are building, this includes repurposed textiles. We source high-quality reclaimed textiles from a sustainable material hub in Berlin, supporting circular fashion and upcycling initiatives. We offer these print surfaces available in our print workshops.
