Carry The Water: A Presentation with BD Athlete Joe Grant In the summer of 2024, athlete and photographer Joe Grant hiked 400 miles around the San Juan Mountains, starting and finishing at his home in Durango, Colorado. He visited the highest peaks, the headwaters of multiple rivers, linking sections on the Continental Divide and Colorado Trail and navigating off the beaten path to some of the most remote areas in the range. His essay, “Carry The Water”, in the latest issue of Mad Agriculture Journal (https://madagriculture.org/journal/carry-the-water) captures a snapshot of his experience and will serve as a touchpoint for an evening of storytelling on roaming the hills of Southwest Colorado.

The State Government Plaza in Colorado, where Denver is located, is where you can visit the state government&#39;s golden-domed Capitol. Many state governments in the United States have areas open to tourists for free. You just need to go through security check at their specified time.

This Colorado State Government Capitol is the seat of the state legislature and the governor&#39;s office, and is also the office of the Senate and House of Representatives.

It is said that the golden roof of this capitol is made of pure gold to commemorate the gold rush in Colorado.

Walking in this state capitol, you can really feel that every step and every scene is particularly &quot;American&quot;, and you can see people or events related to Colorado&#39;s history wherever you look.

For a 24k pure tourist who is not so interested in American history, the magnificent European architectural style is the best for punching in. For tourists who just need to take a quick look, it usually takes 30-40 minutes to visit the three floors that can be visited, except for historical learning tourists.
