Join the eight-week class "Producing Your Own LIVE Sketch Comedy Shows" at Station Theater in Houston, TX. This in-person course will equip you with the necessary tools and strategies to produce and direct a full live sketch comedy show from start to finish. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a beginner, this class is designed to help you master the art of sketch comedy production.

The class covers a wide range of topics including planning basics, directing, people management, blocking, marketing and promotion, tech rehearsals, and show day management. You'll learn how to organize the production process, select scripts, cast actors, integrate video and audio, create stage action, and manage rehearsals. The strategies taught in this class can also be applied to other types of live performances.

At the end of the eight weeks, you'll collaborate with your classmates to produce a full-length sketch show. This hands-on experience will give you the confidence and skills to produce your own sketch comedy shows in the future.

Please note that this class is for individuals aged 18 years and older. A prerequisite for this class is Long Form Improv Level 1 (or equivalent) and Sketch Writing 1 is encouraged. Laptop or notebook and pen are required for this class. Enrollment can be deferred to a future class, but classes are non-refundable.
