Stephen Grant brings his highly acclaimed one day comedy masterclass workshops to the home of comedy in Brighton; The Forge Comedy Club.For over 10 years Stephen has hosted classes across the UK and abroad (Australia, Singapore, Dubai and Ireland) on specialist areas of performing, with a unique workshop approach that allows it to be specialised to every comedian’s style, even in a group environment.
These rare and always sold-out classes are designed for existing comedians of all levels to finesse skills beyond those taught at standard multi-date comedy courses.While compèring is easily acknowledged as another branch of the standup skillset, there are specific requirements of this that must be focused on, on top of those used in a standard standup performance. This one day, intensive course aims to cover all of those in a way that elevates compères of all levels.  This workshop is aimed at existing standup comedians who want to hit the ground running with their compèring, and existing compères who may find some areas of their skillset requires fine tuning or improvement.  Areas covered includes the advantages of attaining this ability, where it varies from straight standup, compère responsibilities, awareness of the 4th wall adjusting your act to environmental considerations, housekeeping, mic technique, styles of introduction, being a master of ceremonies, timekeeping, when to use material / interaction, the fundamentals of crowdwork, how to frame your performance, and some tips and don’ts that will elevate all levels of performance.  The course will take a procedural approach and each attendee will be offered to ‘host a show’ so that feedback both common to all performers and specific to the individual will be worked through in a group setting.  Attendance of Stephen's previous workshops is NOT required to attend this. Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

One of the best piers in the South of England. There is lots to do with tons of seaside rides, fun arcade games and food. Highly recommend catching the sunset here and if you&rsquo;re lucky you might catch the starlings dancing at dusk, I didn&rsquo;t know they do this and it was the most spectacular striking and stunning natural phenomenon I had seen, it was mesmerising. Highest chances of seeing the starlings dance is between November-March, we visited in early March
