This class is open to anyone who has completed Intro 2 or higher, or who has equivalent experience. We welcome folks who have trained outside of BTC to connect with us to discuss participating in this workshop via classes@blindtigercomedy.ca
DARK & UNCOMFORTABLE SCENES- with Inbal Lori

Thoughts from BTC: In this workshop, from 2025 Comedian-in-Residence Inbal Lori, you’ll dive into the world of scenes that are difficult but can offer major artistic rewards. Inbal has toured internationally for decades exploring these topics in thoughtful, emotional and hilarious ways and could not be a better teacher to take you through this kind of work.
On to Inbal’s description:
The world is changing fast and often we are not sure what we are “allowed” to do on stage and what is “inappropriate”. We find ourselves facing questions like:– how do we tackle political, racial, gender issues in improvisation?– how do we play the bad guys and/ or people who are different from us?– what do we have to say and how do we avoid propaganda while saying it?– how do we keep our improvisation playful and funny while tackling such topics?If you are interested in making relevant, meaningful, thought-evoking improvisation – this workshop is for you!
Special note: in order to bring Inbal and Lee all the way from Berlin to Vancouver, we need your help! To make these classes happen,
 
we need you to register by April 14th
. If we have enough registration in their classes, we will confirm via email that the classes are running and get some fancy flights arranged.
We wouldn’t be making this pitch if it wasn’t worth it: these are some of the best improvisers working and it will be so cool to have them collaborating with us this June!

 – Registration is non-refundable within two weeks of a class' start date. Refunds for class fees are available prior to the two week cut off, however Eventbrite fees will not be refunded. If you have any questions or concerns about refunds, please email

Stanley Park is located in the heart of Vancouver, Canada, and is one of the largest urban parks in North America, covering a thousand acres. The park has more than 400 hectares of forest and is scattered with 500,000 trees, including hundreds of meters of Douglas fir, 800-year-old cedar, moss-dropping maples and a century-old western red cypress. The sea wall trail, which is fully paved with rocks and built by the sea, completely surrounds the entire Stanley Park, which is Vancouver&#39;s most distinctive slow-running trail, bicycle lanes and roller skating routes.
