This is an event that honours the deep bodily knowing, the wisdom of your senses and flow of the feminine ~ and the initiations that happen in our everyday lives of parenthood, relationships, childbirth, child loss, desire, ecological and economic challenges. Initiations of the feminine teach us how we're not always in control, and that we will be humbled; this is the process of surrendering to our humanness, and welcoming our full humanness back from exile into belonging as a wild full bodied knowing being. Those who have journeyed with me for Kahuna bodywork this truly feels like an extension of the immersive space to deepen connection with yourself and the layers you’ve been exploring. You can expect the same cocoon-like experience, with warmth, and supported held space. We’ll be exploring the Myth of Inanna, an ancient Sumer, story that originated over 4000 years ago! The Story of Inanna tells the sacred story and mythopoetic map about the heroines journey that leads us towards humility, empathy and relationship with ourselves and others. What defines Inanna is her unswerving choice to go towards the call and descent. It is a moving story about reclaiming life energy and connecting with parts of ourselves that need attention. It is a journey of the underworld, and the rise again. It is the sky story of Venus and the teachings of Inanna that hold the mysteries of life, death and rebirth. They hold the key to threshold places that allow us to unfold, evolve and deepen intimacy with the truth of our living.  In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions:  When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?”Gabrielle Roth I’ve personally been moved by the Myth of Inanna and the Sky Story of Venus since first hearing the story in 2020 when I journeyed with Sasha Rose and synced with the Sky movements of Venus. The felt sense of the story deeply moved me and continues to this day to give me hope, depth and space for inner listening. The story reminds me to hold on when it's hard, to rest and descendwhen the body asks for renewal. The story reminds me to trust my bodily sensation and be curious and open to listening to the unique way that the feminine indeed flows through us. It reminds me to stay close to the pulse of my heart and passions. . . .to let myself rise again, to grow, decay, to emerge until the end of time. This is the organic nature of reality. The “Wild Beauty” Adornment Oil I created was partly born out of the story of Inanna and I'd like to welcome you into this space to share this story with you, and hopefully, create a space where you too are moved by the story and the felt senses that arise from your body from this immersive experience. It is through my continued journey with the Inanna Myth that I've been “worked” and had layers revealed. You're invited to first hear the story and let it work you . . If you don't first understand with your head, or indeed have questions allow yourself to be curious and follow the calls to attention. . Maybe even continue to explore the Myth of Inanna and the Sky story of Venus. ~ What to bring:  Please bring your Yoga Mat and a yoga bolster if you have one. Please let me know if you don't have a bolster I've a few spares. Please also bring a blanket, and anything that feels comforting for you; a cosy jacket, socks or eye pillow to allow you sink in and create your own cocoon.
