 (they/them) for a relaxed clay workshop and open conversation on experiences of pregnancy and m*therhood.
Indra and Rebecca created the online sound piece, 
‘Invisible M*ther’
 for last year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival commission. Using polyvocal writing techniques, the piece visibilised hidden maternal narratives while preserving anonymity, creating a safe space for both the artists and those adjacent to their stories.
This workshop builds on those themes, offering a space to connect through conversation and craft. Guided by working with clay, ‘Embodied M*ther’ explores embodied and difficult-to-verbalise knowledge, drawing on visual motifs from the 2024 commission, including hands and shells, symbols of intimacy and care-ful listening.
Invisible M*ther contains references to pregnancy loss, sexual assault, poor mental health, suicide attempts, drug mis/use, breastfeeding, abortion and medical neglect. These themes may also arise in the Embodied M*ther workshop. Indra and Rebecca will work with attendees to co-create parameters for a safe and brave space. No photos will be taken during the workshop (although photos may be taken of the completed piece), and anything shared during the workshop will remain confidential.

The use of clay will require use of hands. Artists can assist with softening the clay, but some hand strength is required.
Babies and young toddlers welcome, but sensitive topics may be discussed. Bringing children is at the parent/carer's discretion.
Our definition of "m*ther" and "m*therhood" is inclusive of people who have not given birth, including step-mthers, non-carrying/birth-giving mthers, people who have experienced pregnancy loss, abortion, or medical neglect.

This is simply a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, and there were almost no people on the road. Only the ancient buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which made people feel awe.

We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the &ldquo;old fashioned house&rdquo; and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again.

We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

This museum is a place where people have to punch in. I especially like the oil paintings in the museum. After seeing it, I feel a great enjoyment. The museum is also a favorite place for primary and secondary school students.

Glasgow Cathedral

It is said that it can be traced back to the famous William Conquest period. It was built to commemorate St. Diego. It took hundreds of years to build and has been around for nearly a thousand years. It is the oldest religious building in the entire Scottish region. It is also a must-see for tourists.

George Square

Peggy 

George Square is located in Glasgow city center and is very conveniently accessible by train or subway. On nice days, you can sunbathe and watch pigeons in the square. It is close to the famous shopping street, where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, shoes and socks. There are also many restaurants and eateries to choose from. 
George Square is a must-see attraction. In addition to admiring the architecture of the square;during different festivals, such as Christmas, the square is built into a Christmas Market, becoming a dynamic and happy atmosphere.
