If you are looking for activities for your kids to get involved in this October school holidays, this is a fantastic opportunity for them to safely explore the mōana/ocean, develop in-water confidence and learn about te taiao/environment, especially our coastlines. We are able to offer a full day of activities for 12 kids aged 7-14. The day will involve 1 snorkel, rockpooling, learning ways to record data either: visual habitat assesment, rockyshore marine meters squarded survey or ecological surveys and marine themed games. All activities are weather dependant, and locations may change due to conditions. Lake Pupuke may be used as a back up snorkel location. EMR will make the best judgment on the day due to sea conditions on which locations/activities will be used. In the event of unsuitable weather the event will be cancelled. You will be given 24 hours notice of any cancelations and full refund if EMR cancels. These events have been subsidised thanks to the Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation. Whats included? - Instruction from 2 endorsed EMR coordinators plus 1 trained intern/volunteer - Wetsuit, fins, mask and snorkel - Body boards -Rock pooling ID charts, maginfying glass and tubs. - All activities Whats not included? - Food and water (please bring lunch, snacks and water) - Transportation to the start and end location Need to pack: - Togs - Towel - Dry clothes - Suncream - Hat - Food and drink - Personal medication - Shoes (not jandals) Timings for the events : 9:00 am Drop off 3:00 pm Pick upp pick up/drop off location : 22 The Promenade, Takapuna, Auckland 0622 See the image below for where we will be set up. If we use Lake Pupuke as the snorkel site we will walk between the sites. No change to the pick up/drop off location. *All dates are weather dependant. Back up locations will be used where possible. Events will run with light rain.* *Please note this programme is intended for kids of school age. If parents would like to join they would be acting as volunteer adult supervisors. The role of ‘supervisors’ is to assist and supervise the student’s in-water and are expected to be confident swimmers, fit and healthy and free from the influence of drugs or alcohol. Adults may also be asked to act as our shore watch where you would be responsible for checking individuals in/out of the water and keeping an eye on the group whilst snorkeling. The venue is slightly smaller, but the content is still very rich, and rainy days do not affect the fun at all. It is very suitable for playing with the nearby Mission Bay. The souvenirs inside are very cute and I bought several plush 😘

The whole experience was great, and it&#39;s a great place to learn about New Zealand&#39;s history and culture. The museum is quite large and worth a good half-day visit. There are many interactive exhibits, especially suitable for taking children out. There are also Chinese services, which is recommended.

Auckland Central Park is not like the common landscape parks in the city. It is more like a natural forest. The winding tree-lined paths and the tall trees on both sides make you feel like you are walking into the original green field, with thick fallen leaves and soft soil under your feet. The air is filled with the fragrance of plants, which is very suitable for jogging, walking the dog or just taking a quiet walk. There are also several sculptures and small bridges hidden along the way, which adds a little fun. Although it is not far from the city, you can completely escape the rhythm of the city once you enter the park.

Although Mount Eden is not high, you can overlook the whole of Auckland from the top of the mountain, and the view is particularly wide. The remains of the crater are clearly visible, covered with green grass, a peaceful green. It is not difficult to walk all the way up. You can also see sheep grazing on the hillside. Their leisurely appearance makes people can&#39;t help but take a few more photos. The wind on the top of the mountain is very strong, but it is also very fresh, which makes people feel particularly bright. It is a good place that does not require tickets or planning, but can leave very deep memories.
