If you are looking for activities for your kids to get involved in this October school holidays, this is a fantastic opportunity for them to safely explore the mōana/ocean, develop in-water confidence and learn about te taiao/environment, especially our coastlines. We are able to offer a full day of activities for 12 kids aged 7-14. The day will involve 1 snorkel, rockpooling, learning ways to record data either: visual habitat assesment, rockyshore marine meters squarded survey or ecological surveys and marine themed games. All activities are weather dependant, and locations may change due to conditions. Lake Pupuke may be used as a back up snorkel location. EMR will make the best judgment on the day due to sea conditions on which locations/activities will be used. In the event of unsuitable weather the event will be cancelled. You will be given 24 hours notice of any cancelations and full refund if EMR cancels. These events have been subsidised thanks to the Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation. If we use Lake Pupuke as the snorkel site we will walk between the sites. No change to the pick up/drop off location. *All dates are weather dependant. Back up locations will be used where possible. Events will run with light rain.* *Please note this programme is intended for kids of school age. If parents would like to join they would be acting as volunteer adult supervisors. The role of ‘supervisors’ is to assist and supervise the student’s in-water and are expected to be confident swimmers, fit and healthy and free from the influence of drugs or alcohol. Adults may also be asked to act as our shore watch where you would be responsible for checking individuals in/out of the water and keeping an eye on the group whilst snorkeling. The sky towers high into the clouds, a landmark building in Auckland. Take a high-speed elevator straight up to the observation deck, and you can see the entire city, port and even the volcanic landscape in the distance. The glass floor area is soft but can&#39;t help but step on it to experience it once. The city lights at night are intertwined with the soft lights in the tower to create a dreamy atmosphere. The high-altitude walk and tower jump project at the top of the tower is full of excitement. Even if you don&#39;t try it, you can&#39;t be nervous just watching other people&#39;s challenges. Standing at that height, watching the wind and clouds move, there is an indescribable sense of freedom.

The SEALIFE Aquarium was a fun and interesting place with many exhibits and animals to see. The penguin exhibition was particularly cute, and you could really experience them up close. However, the aquarium was a bit small, and we only managed to see most of the exhibits in about 45 minutes. We had expected it to be larger. While it was still a fun place to visit, it might not be a must-do in Auckland.

The whole experience is great and it is a good place to understand New Zealand&#39;s history and culture. The museum is quite big, it is worth a long time to visit, there are many interactive exhibits, especially suitable for walking the baby. There is also Chinese service, recommended.

Mount Eden

Although Mount Eden is not high, it is overlooking the entire Auckland from the top of the mountain and has a particularly wide view. The remains of the crater are clearly visible, and the grass covers it, a peaceful green. It is not difficult to go up all the way. You can also encounter sheep on the hillside. The leisurely appearance makes people unable to take a few more photos. The wind on the top of the mountain is very strong, but it is also very fresh, and the mood is particularly clear. It is the kind of good place that does not need tickets and does not need planning, but can leave a very deep memory.
