Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages (parents/guardians welcome too!) are invited to join St. Louis BWorks staff and volunteers for a beautiful spring evening of biking, playing and refreshment in Forest Park. We'll meet with our bikes and helmets outside the Forest Park Visitor Center at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, and make about a five-mile loop within the park over the course of the event, with brief stops involving dinosaurs, a playscape and another imaginative playground along the way. Fresh fruit and another fun snack will be provided. We'll return by about 7:30 p.m. to our starting point, the Forest Park Visitor Center, for departures. Register at this link to participate, and be prepared to sign a short release for each rider upon arrival to the meeting location. (Also, each participant should be sure to bring water!) Big thanks to Great Rivers Greenway for partnering with BWorks to help us keep these fun adventures free to our bike-education graduates and family members! We’re excited to have their support for the 10 awesome alumni events we have planned for BWorks youth in 2025. P.S. Does your child's bicycle need some TLC leading up to the alumni ride? Stop by BWorks (2414 Menard Street in Soulard) in the days leading up to the ride (between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday). If you stop by at least a week prior to the alumni ride with the bike, our staff and volunteers will be happy to take a look at the bike and help ensure it's trail ready! Questions about the event? Meet in Forest Park in St. Louis in winter. Walking in Forest Park, passing by the History Museum, Art Museum, Zoo, and Science Museum. Along the way, there are people running in shorts, cyclists, fishermen by the lake, and people playing golf and tennis... There is such a large forest park in the city center, and there are many places for entertainment. People regard exercise and enjoying the sun and outdoor air as part of their lives. I am a little embarrassed to wear a sweater and trousers.
