The Forkhill 10km Race around the Breac is making a return in Newry. This scenic run offers participants a challenging yet beautiful route through the rolling hills of South Armagh, starting and finishing at the Forkhill Club House. The course begins with a downhill stretch before progressing up around Crilly, with the last three miles providing a relatively flat and fast pace. Runners will encounter the famous Crilly hill along the route, culminating in a pleasant cruise to the finish line. Following the race, the Forkhill GAA Club at 19 Bog Road, Newry, BT35 9SZ, will open its doors for post-race refreshments, offering tea, coffee, pints, and a variety of freshly baked treats including apple tart.
