Book on once for the 3 part series: Sunday 22nd June, Sunday 6th July & Sunday 13th July Sessions at 1.30pm or 3pm on the above dates. What to expect? Join us for a series of fun-filled, action-packed afternoon sessions where we grapple with some Giant Trouble! There will be games, team challenges, crafts, activities and lots of fun! Suitable for all children aged 5-11. All sessions are free of charge. Children will be supervised throughout by an experienced team of church volunteers. All adult volunteers have been safely recruited and Team Leaders have undergone an Enhanced DBS check. There will be an allocated First Aider on site during all sessions. Please provide a named water bottle for each child. Parents are very welcome, but are not required, to stay and enjoy drinks and snacks at our free cafe within the building while their children are at the session. If you’re away for any weeks, just join for as many sessions as you can make (i.e it’s not a barrier if you or others you’re inviting are on holiday).

It is necessary to go, it is really historical, free under 17 years old. Student tickets can be bought for over 18 years old. It is better to make an appointment one day earlier. We only made an appointment when we arrived, and found that it would take more than an hour to enter. When I squeezed into the Butcher Street on the uneven stone slabs, the crooked wooden houses on both sides almost pressed down on my shoulders - the rusty meat hooks under the eaves still hung the smell of the Middle Ages, and the windows were filled with chocolate frogs and magic wands. The most crazy one was the little ghost shop: I waited in a long line for three hours under the scorching sun, holding the palm-sized pottery dolls in my sweaty hands, with rough glaze wrapped around a hideous smile. When I left the shop, it was already dusk, and I suddenly felt the eye sockets of the little ghost in my hand reflecting light in the dark.

My first time visiting this tower ,all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful .We really enjoyed visiting this beautiful piece of history and we adore york. Was so happy to know it is english heritage so everytime we go somewhere we try and make use out of our membership.Was a wonderful structure been made for the stairs nice and strong. We enjoyed the roof top being able to have a clear 360 view was magnificent well worth all the climbing up both stairs .

It takes about five minutes to walk from York Station to platform 11, cross the overpass, and there is a sign, which is easy to see. There were not many people, so I went in without an appointment. There were many local elderly people and children, but they watched quietly.
The history of trains is clear at a glance, and I learned a lot. Half of the confidence of European railways comes from Britain. The trains and train technology more than 150 years ago are really admirable.
