Learn about self-defense at the Introduction to Self Defense - IN-PERSON CLASS event in Chattanooga.  The class is priced at $33.85 and will cover basic striking techniques and essential escape maneuvers from common holds such as wrist grabs and chokes. Participants will learn how to effectively use strikes, knees, and elbows to defend themselves, emphasizing proper form and targeting.

 The instructors for Self Defense - IN-PERSON CLASS are Jeff Day, Tim Myers, and Chris Ownby, all of whom have extensive experience in martial arts and self-defense training. Jeff Day, known as Sensei Day, has over fifty years of experience in martial arts and personal security consultation. Tim Myers, with over 35 years of martial arts experience, is also a law enforcement veteran who teaches Brazilian jujitsu and karate. Chris Ownby has a similar extensive background and teaches karate classes for both kids and adults in Chattanooga.

 Self Defense - IN-PERSON CLASS offers a supportive and fun environment for learning practical self-defense skills. Participants are advised to wear comfortable active wear and bring a water bottle. The Chattery is known for hosting a wide range of educational and creative classes aimed at fostering community learning and engagement. It offers a supportive space for individuals of all levels to develop new skills.
