Calligrapher Lanka invites you to embark on a journey into the art of Shodo/書道, the ancient Japanese way of writing. Join us at the Cloud Gallery in Amsterdam for a hands-on calligraphy workshop where you can learn the fundamentals of Japanese calligraphy and discover inner harmony through the meditative process. Under Lanka's guidance, you will delve into the basics of calligraphy, including brush and ink techniques, proper posture, and etiquette. By mastering the eight fundamental strokes of Japanese calligraphy, you will be able to create the character 永 with confidence.

This transformative workshop promises to leave you feeling relaxed, inspired, and equipped with the skills to incorporate Japanese calligraphy into your own artistic endeavors. Perhaps it will even inspire you to craft unique, self-made Christmas gifts or offer the workshop as a thoughtful present to a loved one. The workshop will be offered twice in December and two additional times in January. Please ensure you sign up no later than two days before the event to secure your spot. Please note that the content of the January workshops has been slightly modified to embrace the tradition of Kakizome. Tickets for the Van Gogh Museum have been very popular, especially when the domestic May Day holiday meets the King&#39;s Day holiday in the Netherlands, and decisively set the ticket + voice guide half a month in advance in Trip.com . This holiday is sunny and beautiful! Walking along the canal, full of joy, there was almost no queue after arriving at the museum! Very convenient, tickets are issued in seconds, it is a place worth visiting, I saw many paintings of Rembrandt, borrowed an interpreter, you can slowly walk around for a day, sit down and have a cup of coffee when you are tired, there are 4 floors in total, it is very large, it is worthy of being a national museum
