Join the 2025 City Nature Challenge! Use the iNaturalist app to record what you see and review, learn, and share it with others. Observations are verified by other citizen scientists and specialists from around the world, and the event itself has become an annual event that happens on the same dates in different parts of the world. After the event, participants have time to upload their photos and contribute to global knowledge about the species that live in cities.
The Conservation Area at
 Maplewood Flats
 is the only bird sanctuary on Vancouver's North Shore. It is situated within the traditional and unceded territory of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN).

Grouse Mountain is a perfect natural landscape. In the summer, you can enjoy the green scenery all over the mountain. In the winter, it is also a good place for skiing.
