Join Carinya Sharples for the Lewisham Writes workshop, a creative writing experience designed to connect local writers and explore place and wellbeing through the power of words. This relaxed workshop is the perfect opportunity to engage with fellow writers in the Lewisham community and dive into various writing activities. Whether you're an experienced writer or new to the craft, everyone is welcome. Carinya Sharples is a writer and teacher based in southeast London, currently working on her PhD at the University of Leicester. Her research focuses on representations of mixedness in Guyanese literature. The workshop will mark the beginning of a series of Lewisham Writes workshops taking place at Catford Library starting in April. Hosted at the accessible Deptford Lounge, the event will be BSL interpreted, wheelchair accessible, and provide Changing Place facilities. Assistance dogs are also welcome.
