Mai 36 Galerie presents its first solo exhibition of the work of London-based, Dutch artist Magali Reus. In “Full House” three recent bodies of sculptural and photographic work – What Grows (2022), Landings (2022) and Clementine (2022–3) – explore ecology and systems of production, teasing out the tensions between constructed nature, high technology and the impact of post-industrial human activity. These works are presented at Mai 36 Galerie alongside an intervention in the gallery space of wall paintings derived from vernacular Swiss Appenzell illustrations.

The Cathedral of Zurich is one of the three main churches in Zurich, Switzerland, and is designed to incorporate a variety of architectural styles such as Romanesque, post-Gothic and neo-Gothic. On the first day of landing in Zurich, it happened to be raining and came to visit the National Museum next to the train station. With the Swiss pass, you can get tickets for free, and the staff also gave a coin for the bag. The storage and toilet are on the basement floor, and the small trolley case should also be stored. The exhibits on the first floor of the Swiss Museum can also be guided in Chinese, and there is no Chinese guide on the second floor. The exhibits are not very interesting to me. The value of the museum is not bad, there are not many people, suitable for punching in and taking pictures. In addition, the gift shop gadgets are also very cute, that is, the price is not beautiful.

The Zurich Museum of Art is really conscience. It is free to see paintings on Wednesday and storage is free. There will be more works by well-known painters in the new museum. If there is not enough time, go directly to the new museum. Monet, Van Gogh, Reano, Picasso and other well-known painters can be seen here at close range, it is a super generous museum. I feel that Monet has a lot of paintings.

Fraumunster Church

The Cathedral of Notre Dame Zurich is a must-check landmark! The twin towers are super eye-catching and the green spires are super mirrored. The interior of the church is simple and atmospheric, the colored windows and murals are exquisite, and the tower can also overlook the city. The location is super convenient, just on the banks of the Limat River, across the river from the cathedral opposite. Free visit, quiet and sacred, suitable for taking pictures in a daze.
