Mattix Academy is pleased to announce the 2023 Women's Self-Defense Series, taking place at the Mattix Academy venue in Davie, FL. This empowering event will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM EST, so mark your calendars accordingly. We encourage you to participate in this self-defense series alongside friends, family members, or even attend with your child. This inclusive event is open to individuals aged 10 and above, ensuring a holistic learning experience for everyone. To ensure an optimal learning environment, we have limited the number of participants to 16. This restriction enables our instructors to offer personalized assistance during the techniques' instruction and practice. In case tickets are sold out, don't worry, as we regularly update our upcoming events page, allowing you to sign up for future sessions.

As a Mattix Academy student and member, you are eligible for discounted pricing. Please reach out to us directly for more information regarding this exclusive offer. The agenda for the Women's Self-Defense Series includes check-in and sign waiver from 8:30 to 9:00 AM, followed by networking opportunities. From 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, participants will engage in technique review and drilling, enhancing their self-defense skills. The session will conclude with a 20-minute Q&A and open training session.

When attending the event, we kindly request that you wear comfortable workout clothes. Please note that shoes are not worn on the mat, and you will be barefoot during the session. Socks are acceptable. Additionally, water and powerade are available for purchase, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the event. Prior to stepping on the mats, we require all participants to complete a waiver form. Kindly remove your shoes and place them on the shoe racks provided at the front of the mat area. If using the restroom, please carry your shoes with you to maintain cleanliness on the mats.

Our instructors will guide you through various techniques that may push you outside of your comfort zone. They will be present on the mat, offering support and guidance to ensure your learning experience is both safe and effective.
