This year’s theme focuses on "
The Art of Becoming Her
”. Success doesn’t come in one form and neither should a person’s path to success. “The Art of Becoming Her” invites early-career to mid-level career professional women and students to explore the many ways success can unfold, whether in traditional roles and non-traditional careers, from medicine to media, law to design. We are rewriting the script on what it means to lead and finding fulfillment on your own terms.

Muslim Achieving Excellence (MAX) was founded with the aim to recognize, reward, celebrate and motivate high achievement and encourage positive and productive contributions to society by Muslims in Canada. MAX fosters that through creating connections between senior level, mid level and early career professionals.
About Sisters Through Faith
Sisters Through Faith was founded with the intention of making community accessible and welcoming for Muslim women across the Greater Toronto Area. The mission is to create spaces where sisters can connect, grow, and support one another, regardless of where they are in their Islamic journey.
Sisters Through Faith takes a non-traditional approach to community building by curating unique experiences such as pilates, hikes, galentines, and socials, while still centering Islamic values and faith. By blending wellness, sisterhood, and spirituality, they foster a space that encourages Deen in everyday life.

Nafisah Chowdhury

Partner, Miller Thomson LLP
Nafisah Chowdhury practices in employment law and commercial litigation. She provides day-to-day strategic advice to businesses of all sizes on a broad range of matters, including navigating workplace issues, resolving corporate disputes, and addressing privacy law concerns. Known for her pragmatic and prompt advice, Nafisah’s litigation experience encompasses such areas as the enforcement of restrictive covenants, defending employers against wrongful dismissal proceedings, and recovery of confidential information taken by departing employees. 
Nafisah is a past executive member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Labour & Employment Section, as well as a past executive member of The Advocates’ Society’s Labour & Employment Practice Group. She has been acknowledged with distinctions like the Lexpert Rising Star Award (recognizing Canada’s leading lawyers under 40) and as a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation Canada. She has also received praise from The Best Lawyers in Canada for her deep employment law knowledge. She regularly appears before various courts and tribunals and brings a wealth of experience to her practice. 
Beyond her legal career, Nafisah is actively involved in various community projects. She serves on the board of directors for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), the operator of Pearson Airport, and has earned an ICD.D designation. She is a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal, recognizing her dedication, leadership and valuable contribution to Canada, her profession and her community.
Nabeela Elsayed | Former Chief Operating Officer, Walmart
Nabeela Elsayed is a bold voice reimagining leadership, corporate wellbeing, and the future of work. As the former Chief Operations Officer at Walmart Canada, she led operations for over 400 stores and 100,000 associates. With 20+ years of leadership across IKEA, Starbucks, and Walmart, Nabeela is known for driving large-scale transformation with compassion and impact. 
Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women and The Globe and Mail’s Top 50 Executives, she is a sought-after keynote speaker, executive coach, and board advisor. Her talks help organizations tackle burnout, disengagement, and change fatigue, leaving audiences with clarity, courage, and hope. 
Nabeela serves on several boards, including DMZ, The Miracle Foundation, and the National Council of Canadian Muslims. She is also a faculty member at Competent Boards and part of the MG100 leadership community. When she’s not guiding change from the stage or the boardroom, you will find Nabeela planning her next adventure. As a global citizen who’s lived in five countries, and travelled to 41 and counting, one of her joys is experiencing the world with her family.
Shaheen Shaikh

Vice President of Station Engineering, Ontario Power Generation
Shaheen is the Vice President of Station Engineering at Ontario Power Generation (OPG), where she leads multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of OPG’s nuclear generating assets. She brings over two decades of leadership experience in engineering and operations across the nuclear energy sector.
Prior to her current role, Shaheen served as a Senior Evaluator with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, where she assessed and benchmarked global best practices in nuclear operations and safety. A licensed Professional Engineer, Shaheen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Heer career reflects a deep commitment to the safe and sustainable advancement of nuclear energy in Canada.

Creative Art Director, Formerly Kotn
Sana Jaffery is an Art Director recognized for her globally-inspired visual storytelling, trend-savvy design, and commitment to inclusive, diversity-first creative work. With a background in New Media Studies and Digital Communication, Sana merges sharp artistic instinct with strategic thinking to build experiences that resonate across cultures and platforms.
Over the past several years, Sana has led design and art direction for renowned fashion and beauty brands, including Pinterest, Kotn, Knix, and Khwaab. Her work has contributed to viral product launches on TikTok, boosted e-commerce conversion, and powered brand campaigns that center inclusive narratives. Sana has designed everything from packaging and email campaigns to social activations, pop-up event visuals, and trend-forward fashion lines.
She is a recipient of the UofT National Book Award, an ACM Alumni Showcase honoree, and the creator of the publication 
HAUTE MESS
, a bold exploration of fashion’s “artfully disheveled” trend.
