Monday 5th May - Tuesday 6th May 2025  Booking slots: 11am - 12pm / 12pm - 1pm 'Mother Clyde' by Glasgow based artist Greer Pester is the second of three Outer Spaces commissions opening in Glasgow, spring 2025. We are excited to present a bold programme of newly commissioned works by artists Sooun Kim, Greer Pester, and Jamie Fitzpatrick. Selected from the Outer Spaces network of studio holders, this is a unique opportunity for the artists to make new, ambitious work in response to one of our most historic spaces. Responding to the former Clydesdale banking hall at 31 St Vincent Place, Glasgow, these works explore the building’s symbolic relationship to power, stability, and prosperity—qualities embedded in the fabric of this iconic Victorian structure. At the same time, the artists engage with the building’s current, transitory state, where past and present converge. The works will be revealed to the public through a series of pop-up events throughout the spring of 2025, offering a dynamic exploration of the site’s rich history and its shifting role in the present.

We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the &ldquo;old fashioned house&rdquo; and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again.

We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

This is simply a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, and there were almost no people on the road. Only the ancient buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which made people feel awe.

George Square is located in Glasgow city center and is very conveniently accessible by train or subway. On nice days, you can sunbathe and watch pigeons in the square. It is close to the famous shopping street, where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, shoes and socks. There are also many restaurants and eateries to choose from. 
George Square is a must-see attraction. In addition to admiring the architecture of the square;during different festivals, such as Christmas, the square is built into a Christmas Market, becoming a dynamic and happy atmosphere.
