Join us for Morning Matters, an informal breakfast conversation with State Representative Carol Glanville. This is your opportunity to share your experiences as an early childhood professional and discuss how policy decisions impact the children and families you serve.
What is Morning Matters?
Morning Matters brings elected officials together with early childhood professionals for genuine dialogue about policy impacts. Think coffee shop conversation, not formal presentation. These sessions create meaningful connections between policymakers and the community members who see firsthand how policy decisions affect Kent County families.
About Rep. Carol Glanville
State Representative Carol Glanville serves the 84th House District, which includes Walker, Grandville, the Westside and parts of Northeast Grand Rapids. Glanville has extensive professional experience as a classroom teacher, administrator, education consultant and a local elected official who has served on many community boards. In the 102nd Legislature Glanville chaired the Higher Education committee and served on four other committees: Education, Health Policy, Appropriations Subcommittee on Behavioral Health, and Families, Children, and Seniors.
Currently, Glanville vice chairs the School Aid and Department of Education Appropriations Subcommittee, as well as serving as a member on the Appropriations Committee, Appropriations Subcommittee on Medicaid and Behavioral Health, and Appropriations Subcommittee on Joint Capital Outlay.
She advocates for hard-working families on the issues that matter most — including help with rising costs, investing in education and professional opportunities at all levels, further investing in our communities and infrastructure and working with businesses to create good-paying jobs that support Michiganders. Glanville was born and raised in West Michigan, and she went on to live and raise her family in the Walker community.
