Calling all keen young fisho’s there’s a new fishing competition in town and its just for you!Whether are a seasoned professional or just starting out come and be a part of the first ever FREE Fishing Competition for Youth in Narooma!There will be various fishing prizes on offer and a free tackle pack for all participants that register prior to April 14. Local Fishing legend Steve Starling (Starlo) will be joining to let us in on some of the secrets of fishing estuaries. The Narooma Sport and Game Fishing Club will host the competition and their club shed and will be there onl the day to help out for anyone who might need a hand fishing. Competition DetialsThis will be a land-based line fishing competition so please bring along your own fishing rod and reel and your favourite tackle(but please reach out to us if you need assistance with this). Further details will be provided to competitors closer to the time of the competition. EligibilityEligible Competitors include anyone between the ages of 12 -24. If you turn 12 on or after the competition date and within in 2025 calendar year you also are eligible to compete.If you were 24 on 1 January 2025 you are also eligible to compete.For any youth/kids or families outside this age bracket are welcome to join to assist competitors or go for a social fish. There is a separate ticket for a social fish (Non-Competitor), please order this ticket so we know how much food to provide for the BBQ.
