This course is a beginner level course for new technicians who have not previously worked in a school science department. 
As a new Science Technician this course will introduce you to your role and help you to provide an effective and effiecient technical service for your science department. Explore the different elements of the role including:
The role of a School Science Technician - what is expected
Running a Prep Room - efficiently and effectively
Health and safety in the Prep Room - responsibility
A session on classroom practicals - equipment and troubleshooting
After this course you will be able to apply what you have learned, describe and apply policies and procedures. You will know how to address any safety implications .
The facilitator for this event is Jackie Merritt a Senior Technician with over 20 years experience in the Prep Room.
