Synopsis:
Ayesha, a Muslim house-help, reluctantly takes on a one-day job at a Hindu household. She wants to be upfront about her identity, but when she introduces herself, the owner of the house mishears her name to be ‘Asha,’ a common Hindu name. With each minute spent in the house, Ayesha learns just how the "other side" perceives you, when they think you're one of them.

Nihit Bhave started his career as a film journalist and critic with the Times of India and Hindustan Times. After a career in journalism, he assisted prolific Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in Netflix India's first show, Sacred Games S01 and the anthology film, Lust Stories. He then switched to screenwriting with Sacred Games (S02) in which he wrote two episodes. His feature screenwriting credits include Kashyap’s Netflix drama, Choked, and the sci-fi thriller Dobaaraa. He next wrote and directed an indie short film, Phir Kabhi, starring Amruta Subhash and Manav Kaul, which competed at the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival, India's only Oscar-qualifying festival. Ayesha marks his second directorial venture.

Synopsis:
CHASHMA (BLIND SPOT) takes place in India during 1992, a time of significant socio-political change. While Hindu-Muslim tensions had existed in India since the post-Partition era, this year that witnessed a dramatic escalation, after the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Inspired by actual events, the narrative follows Supriyo, an 11-year-old boy struggling with poor vision. However, his challenges go beyond his eyesight. When a school conflict erupts between two familiar students that Supriyo witnesses, he is asked to make an important decision. Amidst rising religious tensions in the country, the short film explores the blind spots of a young boy and the country as a whole, and Supriyo is forced to confront his biases and perceptions.

Nitin Baid is a first-time director. CHASHMA (BLIND SPOT) is his directorial debut. Nitin Baid’s first feature as an editor, MASAAN, was screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in Un Certain Regard and won two awards. He is the first Indian editor selected for the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus and the only Indian editor as well as a member of the international editing panel at Edimotion 2023. Additionally, he has won numerous accolades and awards for editing in his home country. Nitin now turns his focus to his directorial debut with CHASHMA.

Anvita Brahmbhatt is a writer/filmmaker, photographer, and creative producer. A recent graduate from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in Film and TV Production and a minor in Business in Entertainment, Media, and Technology, Anvita enjoys writing and exploring family, human connection, loneliness, loss and coming-of-age themes in her works. Her first short film, The Documented Indian (2021) was selected at the London lift-off film festival. The film explored the unique ways two siblings voice dissent and a conversation about humanity prevailing (set during the 2019 CAA protests in India). What draws Manahar to filmmaking and acting is the desire to move and entertain audiences.

Synopsis:
In a small village of Kashmir, Farah, the caretaker of a small piece of land has lost her husband under tragic, unexplained circumstances. Feeling overwhelmed with grief, Farah clings onto her late husband’s memories. Under threat of her home being uprooted by the prospect of a new buyer, Farah finds a new lease of life when she discovers the saplings her husband brought to their kitchen garden. Just as she is done planting them, she discovers small rat droppings around the garden. With this Farah dives deep into a point of no return as she dedicates her life towards protecting the saplings at the cost of affecting her sanity.
Orphanage of Memories is a protest against how the average Indian views Kashmir in movies - where the focus is always on the landscape and never on the people. We were keen on telling the story of an individual and not the serenity of Kashmir. This is precisely why we chose to set the story in the harshest part of winter, before snowfall starts - when the whole valley is engulfed in a blanket of deary gray monotones.

Rayit Hashmat Qazi is an independent filmmaker from Kashmir, who is currently working in Mumbai, India. He has worked as an assistant to International as well as Indian directors on TVC’s for the last 6 years. From Jim Sonzero to Rob Cohen and Harvey Brown, Rayit has been a right hand to a wide array of filmmakers while working with Bang Bang Films on brands as diverse as AIRTEL, Tanishq, Britannia, Pepsi, Loreal, etc. In addition to this Rayit has worked as an assistant director on the critically acclaimed Mukti Bhawan that went on to premiere at the Venice Film Festival amongst other international film festival giants. This experience was instrumental in helping him transition from assisting to directing ads of his own. Over the course of the last two years, Rayit has made commercials for brands like Britannia, HUL, BMC, Airtel, etc. His maiden short Do Cup Chai (Two Cups of Tea) which sees the story of two ex-lovers who meet each other to fulfill a promise over a cup of tea, was nominated in the Best Short Film category at the NYIFF (New York Indian Film Festival). It further went on to premiere at Silk Screen International Festival and the prestigious Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival in Assam. Currently, Rayit is developing a show for Amazon as well as MX player. He has completed his graduation in Audio Visual Production/ Filmmaking from Symbiosis Institute Of Media and Communication.

It&#39;s real and effective. It&#39;s the official channel, which is much more reliable than the black guy at the door who blocks the road to sell you stuff. Hahahaha. We made an appointment at 9 a.m., and there weren&#39;t many people at that time. But because we were waiting for people, there was already a long line at 9:30. It&#39;s better to go earlier.
