Founded in 2004, MAD has redefined contemporary architecture by rethinking the relationship between people, nature and the built environment. MAD’s work is not only functional but also deeply experiential, designed to stimulate the senses and feelings. A highlight of the exhibition is the Tornado, the striking spiral staircase designed by MAD Architects for Fenix, a new museum in Rotterdam dedicated to exploring migration stories through art. Join us on the evening of Friday 16 May and step into a spatially dynamic landscape of models, art and multimedia. Nieuwe Instituut nodigt je van harte uit voor de feestelijke opening van Ma Yansong. Architectuur en emotie. Ontdek het werk van architect Ma Yansong en het wereldwijd opererende bureau MAD Architects, geleid door Ma Yansong, Dang Qun en Yosuke Hayano. Sinds de oprichting in 2004 verlegt MAD de grenzen van de hedendaagse architectuur door de relatie tussen mens, natuur en gebouwde omgeving opnieuw vorm te geven. Met werk dat niet louter functioneel is, maar de individuele ervaring versterkt en de zintuigen prikkelt. In de tentoonstelling kun je ook van dichtbij kennis maken met de Tornado, een spiraalvormige trap die MAD Architects ontwierp voor Fenix, het nieuwe kunstmuseum over migratie in Rotterdam. Kom langs op vrijdagavond 16 mei en betreed een ruimtelijk, dynamisch landschap met maquettes, kunst en multimedia, waarin je zelf kunt voelen hoe de architectuur van MAD Architects de omgeving en emoties beïnvloedt.

【Markthal Arcade Market】 is located in Lawrence Square in the center of Rotterdam. It is special because it is the world&#39;s first building that combines a market and a residence, making it a new landmark in Rotterdam.
