Celebrate the opening program of The House Was Too Small: Yoruba Sacred Arts at the Fowler Museum at UCLA in Los Angeles. This special event marks the museum's 60th Anniversary and features a live performance by artist and abolitionist Patrisse Cullors. From 5-6 pm, Cullors will present her latest performance titled Ori Whispers, which highlights the power and strength of the Black Femme Ori. After the performance, guests can enjoy a party at the Fowler from 6-9 pm with DJ Adé, cocktails, and a Cuban dance performance by choreographer Kati Hernández and her ensemble, KimBambula. 

The procession for Ori Whispers will start at the UCLA Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Gardens and make its way to the Fowler Amphitheater. You can join the procession or meet the performers at the UCLA Staircase (Janss Steps) at 5:30 pm. The Cuban dance performance by Kati Hernández will take place in the Fowler Courtyard from 6:30-7:30 pm. 

Admission to the Fowler is free, and parking is available at UCLA Lot 4 for $3/hr. Don't miss this unique opening program that showcases Yoruba sacred arts and celebrates the museum's milestone anniversary.
