Step into a world of whimsy with this hands-on freestyle pottery workshop led by Sabrina Boyer of 
Nostalgia Ceramics
! Known for their playful and imaginative creations—think tiny clowns, ceramic cowboy boots, and other delightfully nostalgic treasures—Sabrina invites you to break the mold and embrace your inner child.
In this relaxed, no-rules session, you’ll be encouraged to explore clay at your own pace, whether you're a seasoned maker or curious beginner. Create anything from miniature sculptures to quirky home decor—whatever sparks joy. Sabrina will be on hand to guide, inspire, and share tips from her own creative process. Expect lots of laughter, a touch of kitsch, and plenty of clay-covered fun.
All materials provided. Just bring your imagination!

About Sabrina Boyer/Nostalgia Ceramics
Sabrina Boyer is a multimedia artist based in Guelph, Ontario, whose primary focus is sculpture and ceramics. Sabrina Boyer is the playful force behind 
Nostalgia Ceramics
, a ceramic practice rooted in childlike wonder, charm, and a hint of the surreal. Based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Sabrina is a member of the Waterloo Potters’ Workshop, where she brings her whimsical world of miniatures, clowns, cowboy boots, and offbeat characters to life in clay.
Their one-of-a-kind pieces, often drawing on themes of childhood, kitsch, and joyful oddity, can be found on Etsy, where she sells both collectible miniatures and unique ceramic art. Whether sculpting a tiny teacup or a grinning clown, Sabrina’s work invites viewers to smile, play, and remember the magic of imagination.

In addition to their artistic practice, Sabrina Boyer is an accomplished educator and community leader. They were named Community Art Educator of the Year (2024) by the Ontario Art Education Association and are the recipient of the Enbridge Women in STEM Award for Leadership (2024), recognizing their contributions to arts education and their advocacy for accessible creative programming.
Sabrina Boyer is also the founder of Art Mart, an artist vending machine that features works by over 21 artists local to the Kitchener-Waterloo area, creating a new opportunity for people to support local artists.
Artwork Pickup + Firing
Items will be kiln fired after the workshop by our team of studio technicians. You will be emailed in 6-8 weeks after the workshop when items are ready for pick up. Your clay artwork will be air dried for 1 week and then fired in the kiln twice. Each firing takes up to 48 hours. Click
