The Rocky Jazz String Orchestra is a combination of a regular string orchestra and The Stan Kenton's Innovations Orchestra. Our goal is to add a new way to play contemporary by using aspects of classical music. We take a jazz big band, adding a strings section similar to a regular orchestra while adding a couple percussion and classical brass. RJSO presents the final concert of the season, with music such as Malaguena, Malaga, Spain, Caravan and more. Also... Music from Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Michiko Naruke, Giora Fiedman, C418, Seyed Darwish and Sawano Hiroyuki.  With unique instruments and guests such as, Miles Thomsen on Bass & Piccolo Trumpet, Brett Merkosky on Alto Trombone, Savanna Tippe on Harp, Calvin Berridge Harris on EWI, Ethan De Souza on Riq, Oscar Horseman on Dumbek and more!
