Michael Trimble is a Clinical Reader in the Centre for Medical Education at Queen’s University, Belfast, and a Consultant in Acute Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital. With a background in General Internal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Michael has a deep understanding of delivering acute care. In fact, he was the first person to be appointed as a Consultant in Acute Medicine in Northern Ireland. 

Throughout his career, Michael has been involved in postgraduate medical training and has held various important positions, including Training Programme Director for Acute Medicine and Head of School of Medicine at NIMDTA. In 2016, he took on his current role as a clinical academic, where he focuses on internal medicine, clinical ethics, and clinical reasoning. 

Additionally, Michael served as the editor of the Ulster Medical Journal from 2020 to 2023.

Leading us from the middle stairs to the second floor by a man with a large belly, he introduced us to where we came from in the middle round handrails, really, it is the world and the north, the vast majority of foreigners. Then we led us to the hall of parliament, which is where the members of parliament meet, and there are microphones in each position, and then we started to talk about the history, functions, etc. of the building, and we were full of spirit. You can sit casually, even the position of the chancellor. After the introduction, I will lead you to visit other halls. The huge banquet hall is covered with thick and beautiful red carpets. What hall is the blue carpet is a bit unrememberable.
