PREREQUISITE: NONE! STAND UP 1 INTENSIVE – Welcome to Stand Up - With Sasha Mark 8 WEEKS. ONE SHOW. $420. Saturdays, November 09 - December 07 1:30-5:00pm PST Location:120 Princess Ave This course is an entry level class focused on learning the basics of comedy writing to help you dive confidently into the world of stand up comedy. You will learn the tools to help you crush your first stand up set, learning joke writing structures, comedy writing practices, building that stage confidence, exploring your comedic voice and learning the ins and the outs of the trade. This is the class for you, if you just want to step out of your comfort and try stand up with us! At the end of Stand Up 1, you will be all geared up for Stand Up 2 where you will learn to develop stronger punchlines, learn how to transition into each joke, honing your comedic voice and give you the tools to help you to do a booked show. Refunds & Cancellations – Registration is non-refundable within two weeks of a class' start date. Refunds for class fees are available prior to the two week cut off, however Eventbrite fees will not be refunded. If you have any questions or concerns about refunds, please email classes@blindtigercomedy.ca. Accessibility - The venue is accessible to access from the street level with no steps up – the main door has a significant lip, but the side door (which will be unlocked for classes) is level to the sidewalk. Show Day Information - Wondering when your shows are? 95% of BTC shows are on Wednesday nights at 7PM or 9PM. Your exact show schedule will be sent on the first weekend of your class! Stanley Park is located in the heart of Vancouver, Canada, and is one of the largest urban parks in North America, covering a thousand acres. The park has more than 400 hectares of forest and is scattered with 500,000 trees, including hundreds of meters of Douglas fir, 800-year-old cedar, moss-dropping maples and a century-old western red cypress. The sea wall trail, which is fully paved with rocks and built by the sea, completely surrounds the entire Stanley Park, which is Vancouver&#39;s most distinctive slow-running trail, bicycle lanes and roller skating routes.
