About this event Join Bike Sunnyvale for a fun family-friendly ride through Sunnyvale with our theme  The Sunnyvale Halloween Crow Ride.  As you may know the Sunnyvale Crows became national celebrities and were in the news with Mayor Larry Klein in 2022. So THEN we held our first ever Crow Ride in honor of, celebration of, whatever you want to call it, THE SUNNYVALE CROWS! We do our research to determine some of their favorite hangouts and will have a ride that showcases both crows AND Sunnyvale residents' Halloween decorations. We even try to make the route map look like a crow, but the route changes every year so we'll see. This has become an annual family tradition! Feel free to wear your best  Crow  and Halloween attire! We encourage you to wear Halloween attireCrow attireBut please also wear highly visible clothing or have excellent lights and reflectors on your bikeThis social bike ride will be led by seasoned Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition volunteers who are trained on safety and group riding. This ride is suitable for all skill levels, including new riders and children. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18 and ride a bicycle without training wheels. IMPORTANT: THE STARTING LOCATON AND ROUTE ARE ACTUALLY TBD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
Our starting location and route (under 10 miles in Sunnyvale) is TBD -- we will send it to participants shortly before the event. We map out the route in the week immediately before the ride so we can find cool crow hiding locations and awesome Halloween surprises. Speaking of surprises...at the end of the ride this year we will have some door prizes provided by local businesses.
The Sunnyvale Crows... why beat em when you can join them, and then create an event around them that supports the community? We CAW CAW upon all of you to come have fun with us! Date + Time: October 26, 2024, Saturday, 5:30-8:30PM. Please arrive punctually by 5:30 PM to check in and listen to safety instructions before we roll.
