Supporting the Supporters – A Full-Day Workshop on Vicarious Trauma & Compassion Fatigue
Join Resolve Counselling Services for a full-day, in-person training designed to support those in helping professions who are regularly exposed to the emotional weight of others’ experiences. This interactive session will explore the complex realities of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, moral distress, and burnout—offering participants a deeper understanding of how these challenges develop and how to address them.
Throughout the day, you’ll gain insight into the personal, professional, and systemic factors that contribute to these experiences, and learn to recognize the early warning signs across physical, emotional, and behavioral dimensions. You'll also explore evidence-informed strategies to foster resilience, including self-care practices, peer support, boundary-setting, and mindful awareness.
In addition, the training will highlight the critical role of workplace culture and leadership in creating environments that reduce harm and support staff wellbeing.
