Susan Aglukark is a Juno Award-winning Inuk singer-songwriter. Born in Fort Churchill, Manitoba, but raised in Arviat, Nunavut, Susan now lives in Ontario. She is the first Inuk artist to win a Juno (four times) and a Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement. She is an Officer of the Order of Canada, holds several honorary doctorate degrees, and has held command performances.
A Canadian Icon, Susan will inspire all ages with an engaging and provocative multi-media experience. Inuit culture is deeply woven into Susan's Songs & Stories. Through sharing songs, music videos, film clips, maps, and facts, she will share the journey of her ancestors, in a process of discovery that has been her healing process.

is Susan Aglukark’s story of discovering her Inuk self.

This event is a fundraiser to benefit the Heritage Playhouse's conservation upgrades. Every ticket purchaser will receive a one year membership (or one year renewal) from the Gibsons Landing Heritage Society, the operators of the Heritage Playhouse and hosts of this special event. Individual membership value is $25 per year and keeps you informed of monthly playhouse performing arts events, special events and VIP ticket releases.
