Join us for our first ever Knitathon! Set your watch and knit a swatch and get ready for Knitathon! and more! Knitathon is a 24 hour fiber fest, from noon to noon November 16th and 17th focusing on knitting and crocheting, along with spinning and weaving demos, and round the clock hands-on knit and crochet help. Open to fiber artists of all levels and backgrounds! We’ll be giving away knit and crochet kits for walk-ins and participants. We will also be hosting a knit and crochet competition to be judged at hour 22. We will be calling for volunteers with knit and crochet experience to help assist our staff around this 24 hr event. We will have a grand prize at the end of the event - a Spinning Wheel to make your own yarn! More details to come. What is the Tacony LAB Community Arts Center? We are a community art center funded by the City of Philadelphia located in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. We are a program of Mural Arts Philadelphia. At the Tacony LAB, providing accessible and free art is a priority. We offer free classes for adults and children. Our classes range from fiber arts, drawing and painting, to crafting and more. We provide a safe and inclusive space to work on your projects while receiving support from our attending artists and staff. We encourage you to visit during our open studio hours for a tour of all that our incredible art center packs in. We are excited to invite you to be a part of the developing artist community that we have here!

I have to say that the Penn Museum is also a No. 1 museum. The exhibits are rich, unique, and academic. In particular, the Chinese national treasures in the Asian Pavilion are moving... The consulting service is also very satisfactory. The Egyptian Pavilion is under renovation, but some of the cultural relics have been merged into other pavilions. The national treasures of Mesopotamia in the Middle East and the Mayan Aztec civilization in New America are astonishing. There are really piles of ancient Greek and Roman cultural relics. The underground special exhibition even has an introduction to the U2 aircraft incident in 1960... In short, the Penn Museum is worth the trip!

Philadelphia was once the capital of the United States, so there is plenty of history, museums, monuments, and sites around the city. The Philadelphia Museum of Art boasts a nice array of exhibits. I visited on a Friday evening after work because museum admission is free Friday evenings (pay what you wish). I did pay for parking at their garage, which was only $5.

I feel that the attractions in downtown Philadelphia are really excellent. The historic sites near the Liberty Bell are under the unified management of National Park. Opposite the Liberty Bell is a large visitor center where you can consult Philadelphia&#39;s travel guide. The staff and volunteers here are also very enthusiastic to help give travel advice and answer consultation questions. There is also a small souvenir shop here, where you can buy refrigerator magnets, notebooks, postcards and other related Philadelphia souvenirs.

There are also exhibition explanations in the visitor center. Although it is relatively miniature compared to the museum, it still does not affect the number of tourists here. If you come by car, there is a parking lot in the basement of the Independence Hall Visitor Center for everyone to park. Although parking in the city center of Philadelphia is not very convenient and parking spaces are not easy to find, it is recommended that everyone park in the underground parking lot of the visitor center. If you come during the peak season, you need to apply for the ticket to the Independence Hall at the visitor center first, but I don&rsquo;t know if it is because of the epidemic. You don&rsquo;t need to take a ticket when you come, you can go directly to visit.

The Liberty Bell was originally a palace in the Independence Palace, but was later displayed in the memorial on the lawn due to the cracking of the bell body. This time, the display stage at the visitor center was empty to another point of knowledge. When it arrived in Philadelphia in 1752, it first appeared a crack, and after several repairs there were cracks, so it was abandoned. And it was the clock that struck on July 4, 1776. The free clock has also experienced several migrations. Although the location of each relocation is not far away, people are still worried that there will be more serious cracks. They have also installed a microvariable displacement sensor that can test the movement of one millionth of a meter to test whether it is suitable for relocation. Every tour seems to unlock different little knowledge points, which is probably a great pleasure to travel.
