Strasbourg's Christmas market, known as the "Christmas Capital", is the oldest Christmas market in Europe, attracting thousands of tourists every year. The market here is distributed in every corner of the old town, and each stall is decorated like a fairy tale cottage, selling a variety of handicrafts and Christmas decorations. 
The scent of small wooden houses, large fir trees, spices and mulled wine... Starting from the first Sunday of Advent, 4 weeks before Christmas, this tradition is respected in the illuminations and Christmas markets across France.
