"Before Ozempic, there was... The Diet."
When two couples gather for what should be a laid-back evening, things quickly spiral into chaos. Guests Shawna and Jerry arrive fresh from a high-intensity workout with Jerry running on fumes, barely holding it together, and Shawna, riding high on adrenaline. Expectations shift fast as their hosts, Becca and Chris, who were anticipating lite bites and small talk, find themselves trapped in a crash course on extreme dieting and unraveling sanity. As the night unfolds, loyalties are tested, boundaries are blurred, and everyone is forced to confront how far they will go in the name of health -- and, more importantly, in support of the ones we love. A quirky, offbeat comedy, The Diet explores the absurdities of wellness culture and the messy ways our "way of living" can spill into those around us.
