The display will also contain examples of Russian icon-painting, works of Oriental art (a Buddhist tangka and sculpture), archaeological artefacts, manuscripts and documents connected with the artist’s life and oeuvre. One of the main tasks of the exhibition is to present Roerich’s legacy in conjunction with the leitmotif of his creative work – the idea of respect and protection for the values of knowledge and culture. The exhibition project is being prepared by the State Hermitage in conjunction with the Saint Petersburg State Museum-Institute of the Roerich Family and the State Museum of Oriental Art. The participants include museums in Russia, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, India and the USA.

guys you better be running to the State Hermitage Museum if you are in Saint-Petersburg! quite a fabulous place and might be the best museum of the whole world. anyway, if you&rsquo;re not into art but still wanna give it a chance, try visiting the Main Staff of the Hermitage Museum. There are more understandable pieces for you. xx

It&#39;s not as shocking as I imagined, but as the number one attraction in St. Petersburg, I have to check it out. It&#39;s actually quite painful for people who don&#39;t know a little about Western art. I personally prefer the Ye Palace.

The Catherine Garden is located in Pushkin, 25 kilometers south of St. Petersburg, Russia. It is the back garden of the Catherine Palace. It is beautifully laid out, colorful, with green trees and rippling lakes. Strolling in the French garden is an enjoyable and elegant environment.
