Working alongside students, artists David Medalla and John Dugger challenged the notion that art is solely an individual pursuit, using clay to cover naked life models and stitching on a canvas slung across the space. This event sparked both inspiration and controversy, showcasing the transformative power of art in reimagining its production. Lynn MacRitchie, who studied Painting and History of Art at ECA, later became a writer for Performance Magazine and the Financial Times, covering contemporary art from 1991 to 2006. In 1996, she resumed her art practice, focusing on installation, performance, and film. This thought-provoking event is a collaboration between the Schools of Art and History of Art at Edinburgh College of Art and the Centre for Contemporary Art Research at the University of St Andrews.
