The Art Gallery of Guelph is proud to present "The Unsettlements: Moms | Exhibition Walkthrough, Lunch, & Writing Workshop" featuring artist, writer, and translator, JD Pluecker. This exciting event on January 20, 2024, offers a day of programs, conversation, and experimentation. The exhibition walkthrough from 11 am to 12 pm allows participants to engage with the thought-provoking ideas explored in the exhibition and share their own stories and experiences. Following the walkthrough, there will be a community lunch from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, providing an opportunity to continue the conversation in a relaxed setting. The highlight of the day is the writing workshop, "How to write into what we do not and cannot know," from 2 pm to 4 pm. Pluecker will guide participants in exploring the space of not knowing through writing, fostering connection and transformation. No previous writing experience is required, as all necessary materials will be provided. Please reserve a ticket for each component you wish to attend. The exhibition walkthrough and community lunch will take place at the Art Gallery of Guelph, located at 358 Gordon St, Guelph. The writing workshop will be held at PS Guelph, located at 6 Dublin St. Participants are responsible for their own transportation between venues. This event is a unique opportunity to engage with JD Pluecker's exhibition and delve into the mysteries of writing. Admission is free, but the community lunch is available for $5 or pay-what-you-can.
