Exploring the many ways that the French artist James Tissot represented modern women and envisioned their relationship to time during the last decades of the nineteenth century, this exhibition presents two of the AGO’s most beloved Tissot paintings alongside a selection of more than 30 works on paper donated by Allan and Sondra Gotlieb. The contradictions of the period come alive in these works, as the quickness of modernity, exemplified by the newfound speed of travel, fashion and commodity culture, is juxtaposed against the constrained pace of women’s everyday lives, characterized by the wait to find a husband, caregiving, tending to customers or recovering from illness.
Curated by Mary Hunter, Associate Professor, McGill University and by Alexa Greist, AGO Curator and R. Fraser Elliott Chair, Prints & Drawings, and Caroline Shields, AGO Curator of European Art, this exhibition illustrates the many ways that time, and a gendered understanding of it, shaped women’s identities.

As soon as I entered the lobby, I saw Chinese treasures. The cultural relics on display were much better than those in China. It was a pity that they did not return to the embrace of the motherland. Niagara Falls is located on the border of the United States and Canada, on the Niagara River, and can be seen from both countries. If you look at the falls from the United States, the other side of the river is the bustling Canadian city of Toronto, with modern buildings such as high-rise buildings and towers. The south bank of the river in the United States is relatively more natural, without high-rise buildings. A Niagara State Park has been built around the falls. It is free and has green trees and carpeted lawns. There are bridges and trestle trails in the park. You can see the wide Niagara River and the rapid water flow. After arriving at the park, parking in the surrounding area is charged. It is recommended to park in the park&#39;s internal parking lot, which charges $10-15 and is closer to the viewing point. Go to the visitor center to get a free map or take a photo of the roadside sign. Because there is more than one waterfall, it is recommended to visit each waterfall viewing point. It is not too far to walk around, and different angles and altitudes have different beauty, all of which are very shocking. If you are not afraid of getting wet, you can go down to the bottom of the waterfall or take a cruise on the Niagara River to see it, where you can see the panoramic view and have an intimate contact with the waterfall.

The Art Gallery of Ontario is a very attractive museum designed by the architect Frank Gehry. Its appearance is like a crystal ship, with a strong sense of modern art. The glass wall and glass wings on the north side of the main entrance glow under the lights at night, creating a beautiful scenery. The spiral staircase in the museum fully demonstrates Gehry&#39;s design talent.
