Indepen-dance Training Workshop with Stopgap Dance Company from Farnham, England.  Stopgap Dance Company are leading globally in disability access in dance driven by a diverse creative team who uses dance as a movement for change. We move together to create a remarkable experience that transforms society’s perceptions of difference and dismantle the inequity of privilege, in dance and in all aspects of living, collaborating, and creating together as humans. Workshop Led by Laura Jones and Emily Lue Fong  The workshop will be led by Co-Artistic Laura Jones  Laura joined Stopgap Dance Company in 2001, she has been integral to the growth and direction of the company and became Co-Artistic Director in 2022. She is an experienced dancer, choreographer and teacher, with a passion for empowering future generations of diverse dancers.Laura has helped develop Stopgap’s IRIS Dance Syllabus for disabled dancers and the Seedbed teacher training program and contributed to the ISTD’s and RAD’s inclusive practices.Laura is a fierce advocate for dance and disability, inclusion and equality, advancing the dance sector through teacher training in inclusive practice, public speaking and consultancy work. Workshop -  Thursday 3rd July, 9:30-15:30 Pearce Institute, 840 – 860 Govan Road, G51 3UU We would advise attendees arrive 15 minutes before class starts to register and prepare(The Workshop is open for all abilities and experiences, recommended ages 18 +) Book tickets now – Sliding Scale – £20 – £40 In order to make the workshop accessible to those on a low income, we use a sliding scale ticket price for our events. You can choose what you pay based on your circumstances – you won’t be asked for any proof/ID. We just ask that you are honest, all proceeds will go directly to our charity.  Accessibility  Pearce Institute has a wheelchair accessible entrance, as well as disabled parking at the side of the building and changing facilities. We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the &ldquo;old fashioned house&rdquo; and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again.

We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

This museum is a place where people have to punch in. I especially like the oil paintings in the museum. After seeing it, I feel a great enjoyment. The museum is also a favorite place for primary and secondary school students.

It is a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, there were almost no people on the road, only the old buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which was awe-inspiring.

Glasgow Cathedral

It is said that it can be traced back to the famous William Conquest period. It was built to commemorate St. Diego. It took hundreds of years to build and has been around for nearly a thousand years. It is the oldest religious building in the entire Scottish region. It is also a must-see for tourists.

George Square

George Square is located in Glasgow city center and is very conveniently accessible by train or subway. On nice days, you can sunbathe and watch pigeons in the square. It is close to the famous shopping street, where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, shoes and socks. There are also many restaurants and eateries to choose from. 
George Square is a must-see attraction. In addition to admiring the architecture of the square;during different festivals, such as Christmas, the square is built into a Christmas Market, becoming a dynamic and happy atmosphere.
