Join the UnMuseum Young Adults Consultation with Olumedia in Saint Paul's on March 6, 2024. This event brings together young people of colour and cultural heritage organizations from Bristol and the South West to discuss the significance of cultural heritage. Participants will have the opportunity to express their thoughts on how they engage with cultural heritage and their vision for preserving it in both physical and digital formats. The event is a result of the Black South West Network's research on decolonization, diversity, and inclusion in the South West's heritage sector. Thanks to National Heritage Lottery Funding, they are now in the development phase of the project, which aims to retell and reimagine the histories and cultural heritage of racially minoritized communities in the region. The event will be led by Olu Osinoiki from Olumedia, ensuring an informative and engaging experience. This is an exclusive chance for young people of colour aged 18-25 to shape an important project from a youth perspective. Attendees will also receive financial compensation for their time. By registering for a ticket, participants will be subscribed to the BSWN newsletter and may be contacted in the future about events, programs, and opportunities.
