Wir, „young bauhaus“, sind eine Gemeinschaft junger Leute, die Lust haben, sich mit Kunst und Bauhaus auseinanderzusetzen. Um „young bauhaus“ zu sein, brauchen wir einen Raum, Material und uns. Deshalb treffen wir uns wöchentlich im temporary bauhaus-archiv und sind gemeinsam künstlerisch tätig, zeichnen, diskutieren, planen und tätowieren Zitronen.
Vom 9. Mai bis zum 12. Juni präsentieren wir im temporary bauhaus-archiv unsere Ausstellung „Unfolding Futures. The Art of Growing Up“. Mit unseren Kunstwerken nähern wir uns dem Thema Erwachsenwerden an – einer Phase der Veränderung, in der man viel Neues lernt und zum ersten Mal zurückblickt auf die eigene Vergangenheit. Wann ist man eigentlich erwachsen und hört dieser Prozess je wieder auf? Was lassen wir zurück und was gewinnen wir neu dazu? Wer bestimmt unsere Zukunft? Was sind eigentlich Wachstumsschmerzen und wenn man rauswächst, wohin wächst man dann? All that a young bauhaus needs is a room, material and us. That’s why we meet once a week at the temporary bauhaus-archiv to get creative, draw, discuss, plan and occasionally tattoo lemons. From 9 May to 12 June, we will be presenting our next exhibition “Unfolding Futures – The Art of Growing Up” at the temporary bauhaus-archiv. Through our artworks, we aim to explore the topic of becoming adult – a phase of dynamic change, learning new things every day and looking back – perhaps for the first time – at one’s own past. When do we truly become adults and does this process ever stop? What do we leave behind, and what do we gain? Who determines our future? What exactly are growing pains, and when we finally “grow out of them”, where do we “grow into”? Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is a famous Protestant church in Berlin, the capital of Germany. It is located on the Museum Island in the center of the city, next to the Spree River. This magnificent church is not only the religious center of Berlin, but also an important landmark and tourist attraction of the city.
⛪️The history of Berlin Cathedral dates back to the 15th century, when there was a smaller church on the same site. The existing cathedral was built from 1894 to 1905 under the order of German Emperor Wilhelm II to serve as the court church of the Hohenzollern family. The original church was demolished at the end of the 19th century to make way for a new and more magnificent church.
⛪️Berlin Cathedral adopts Renaissance and Baroque styles and was designed by architect Julius Raschdorff. Its gorgeous appearance and exquisite interior decoration reflect the characteristics of neo-Baroque architecture. The church is 98 meters high, and its green dome is an important part of the Berlin skyline.
⛪️During World War II, the Berlin Cathedral was severely damaged, especially an air raid in 1944 that caused part of the church&#39;s dome to collapse. After the war, the restoration of the church lasted for decades and was finally completed in 1993.
⛪️The interior of the church is richly decorated with many exquisite sculptures, paintings and mosaics. The altarpiece and the pulpit on the central altar are particularly eye-catching.
⛪️The Berlin Cathedral has an organ built by Wilhelm Sauer, which is one of the largest and most important historical organs in the world.
Visitors can climb 270 steps to the observation deck on the church&#39;s dome, from which they can overlook the magnificent view of the center of Berlin.
