About Helen Thomas: 
Helen is Cornish. She studied for a degree in Physics with Medical Physics at the University of Exeter before joining the BBC. She is now a multi-award winning Senior Executive Producer and the Co-Executive Producer of “Walking with Dinosaurs”. This is her 3
rd
 production about dinosaurs – her others include “Secrets of the Jurassic Dinosaurs” and the Broadcast and Rockie award winning “Dinosaurs: The Final Day with David Attenborough”. She has also worked on an exciting variety of science programmes for global broadcasters and her BAFTA nominations include “Stargazing: Live” and “Extinction: The Facts” with Sir David Attenborough. Other journalistically rigorous programmes include “Coronavirus: A Horizon Special” and “Greta Thunberg: A Year to Change the World”. Using her skill in emotionally charged storytelling she has made absorbing medical documentaries such as “Your Life in Their Hands” and “The Brain Hospital”. With experience in many genres of programme making Helen also made the Arthur Clarke award winning science/factual-entertainment series “Astronauts: do you have what it takes?” and a science/orchestral performance film “Holst: The Planets with Professor Brian Cox”. This is the first book she has co-authored.
