As the political center of the late Qing Dynasty, many stories happened in the Summer Palace. Group tours to the Summer Palace all enter from the East Gate. Entering the East Gate, the focus is on the Leshou Hall. The Leshou Hall is seven rooms wide and two rooms deep. It was the sleeping palace built by Emperor Qianlong for his mother. After Guangxu rebuilt it, it became Cixi&#39;s residence. Leshou Hall has an excellent geographical location. To the east, you can reach the Dehe Garden Theater, to the south, you can take a boat to enter and exit the Summer Palace, and to the west, you can reach the east entrance of the Long Corridor. After Leshou Hall, you will reach the Renshou Hall. Renshou Hall was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Guangxu and was the place where Emperor Guangxu and Cixi worked and met guests. After Renshou Hall, you can continue to climb the Buddhist Incense Pavilion, or take a boat to Nanhu Island, or walk around the lake on the West Dike. From here, you can overlook the surroundings and have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of the capital. Looking south from here, you can see the golden roof and red walls of the Forbidden City, which is extremely spectacular and beautiful. Looking northwest, you can see the White Pagoda of Beihai.
