Kunming Spring Cherry Blossom Trip 🌸
This Spring Festival, I finally returned to Kunming, a city I'd been longing to visit! All for the chance to sit under cherry blossom trees in the sunshine and feel the breath of spring~
Kunming, known as the "Spring City," enjoys a spring-like climate year-round, and February is the peak season for cherry blossoms, making it perfect for flower lovers! This trip was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable, especially suitable for traveling with elders~
Comfortable Cherry Blossom Itinerary
🌸 Day 1 Itinerary
After arriving in Kunming, I checked into the **Vienna International Hotel (Kunming High-Speed Railway South Station Government Branch)**. This hotel is super close to the high-speed rail station and offers a free shuttle service! Perfect for someone with luggage like me~

After breakfast at the hotel, I set off to find Kunming's cherry blossoms! Here are some amazing cherry blossom viewing spots:
1. **Yuantong Mountain**: Kunming's most famous cherry blossom viewing spot, the view is spectacular when thousands of cherry trees are in full bloom.
2. **Yunnan University**: The cherry blossoms on campus have a youthful vibe.
3. **Kunming Botanical Garden**: Not only can you see cherry blossoms, but you can also admire various other flowers.
A perfect way for lazy people like me to enjoy the flowers: find a bench under a cherry tree, sit and relax, smell the fragrance of the flowers, and soak up the sun!
Helpful Tips:
✔️Kunming has strong UV rays, remember to wear a hat and sunglasses.
✔️There's a big temperature difference between day and night, so bring a light jacket.
✔️You can bring some snacks for a picnic under the trees.
✔️Equip a pedometer; this kind of leisurely stroll can get you around 7000 steps a day!
Elderly people especially enjoy this kind of leisurely flower viewing trip, so remember to bring them a thermos and a small stool!
