A Flood Watch is in effect for Chicago through this evening due to excessive rainfall. Heavy rain, potentially exceeding 2 inches in just a few hours over saturated ground, may lead to flooding. Creeks and streams could rise out of their banks, creating flood hazards across low-lying and flood-prone areas.
