It was quiet, spacious and very nice. It was a short drive to the nearby shopping district, so I didn't have any trouble shopping, and it was easy to access sightseeing spots. There are a lot of ants in the room, which is a problem, so I would like something to be done about it.

Our stay in the deluxe safari cabin was amazing!! Situated right on the garden bed where turtles, ducks and fish swim up to be fed. The cabin itself is perfect for a family of 4 and is very clean. The park boasts two pools, playground and jumping inflatable. You can also hire bikes or pedal carts for cheap. Close proximity to the esplanade and specialty shops, I highly recommend our stay and we will be back.
Remind everyone, if you go to pick up the room after office hours, you must make sure that your mobile phone can call IDD or local phone numbers, because there is no Internet signal on mobile phones near the hotel, and you will not be able to contact the waiter to pick up the key🔑Be careful
The accommodation was perfect for a group of friends looking to find a few days to relax in Airlie. The swimming pool was refreshing and the apartment we stayed in was very clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed one more day, the flight to Brisbane was due on the 11th. The hotel is a little far from the city center, the bus is convenient, the bus in Cairns is 0.5 Australian dollars, and it is easy to reach various attractions. The hotel room is like a container, relatively large, and the kitchen utensils are complete. The front desk service is enthusiastic. The overall feeling is good.

GGuest UserThis was my 2nd time staying at the Binna Burra Sky Lodges, after the bushfires hit the Binna Burra Lodge in 2019. It was fortunate that the Sky Lodges seemed relatively unscathed by the bushfires that ravaged the park. The Sky Lodges are beautifully furnished, with lots of beverages, utensils, laundry facilities and a spa bath. The only limiting aspect of service is that there were no bathroom slippers provided to shield our feet from the stone cold floor.
Due to unforeseen work circumstances, a personal friend who was supposed to drive us up to the Sky Lodge, and accompany us on a bush walk had to cancel on us about a week before our booking. I called the property hotline and Lodge duty manager, Pip was really responsive to recommend a private transport operator to ferry us up from Nerang Train Station to Binna Burra and back.
As we arrived at Binna Burra, I was surprised to find that the check-in for the Binna Burra Sky Lodges has moved to the Teahouse, which is about 200-300 metres down the road from where the Sky Lodges were located. Thankfully, we had an awesome duty manager, Justine who allayed our concerns- allowing us to deposit our bags as we embarked on a hike to Daves Creek Circuit. She also had to manage and deal with my unreasonable, demanding father who dropped out early in the hike and hounded her for our whereabouts when we were uncontactable due to poor signal reception.
When we checked-in at reception, Justine provided exceptional customer service by driving us up to the Sky Lodges and porting our heavy bags into the room. She also approved of us checking-out by leaving our keys in room, instead of having to lug all our belongings down to reception.
GGuest UserThe money I have spent for which is worth. However, I would like to pass message to management. Motel should leave extra toilet paper and tower on bathroom of someone needs it and Microwave in common area for people to heat the food.
GGuest UserThere was 5 of us and for a boys weekend to wet and wild it was very ideal to house us and had enough space for us all. Bathroom was a great size and felt modern enough. We had the choice of bunk beds, a double bed, and some slept on the couch as the air conditioning was in the living room. A small wall fan in the bunk bed room was pointless but the double bed room had a ceiling fan. Fridge had an incredible freezer. Unsure about the rubbish as we overfilled the small bins. Nothing to complain about, handy to be nearby a lot of shops and food places. Front area had a table for hanging out and a rail for hanging wet clothing.
KKeithWow! I've stayed at couple's places before and there has always been an underwhelming factor.......Let's start with all that was good!
1. Parking right beside the accommodation. No lugging possessions or food along long, steep, winding paths.
2. Views forever down the valley and over the lake, especially from the verandah on two sides..
3. Plenty of the right sized firewood as well as all the necessaries to easily start a fire. (Don't laugh, this is GOLD!!!!)
4. Really traditional Balinese fitout with raked ceilings. The place felt huge, welcoming and accommodating. The ensuite is huge with twin showers. Very romantic.....
5. Great local produce in the breakfast (Continental) hamper.
6. Welcoming, friendly hosts who responded immediately to the one small problem we had-flat batteries in the AC remote.
So........plenty of space both inside and outside, class, ambiance, privacy, comfort and amenity. Yep, we will definitely return. Thanks Maleny Tropical Retreat.
Cheers, Keith
GGuest UserStaff were a bit officious at check-in and in my limited subsequent interactions. There seems to be a strong expectation that all guests are either local or repeat visitors (with vehicles). Both the lady who checked me in and the other staff member there at thebtime seemed utterly baffled and even suspicious that I was not familiar with the area and had basic questions about nearby ammenties (supermarkets Etc). There is no 'way to indicate 'do not disturb' which lead to staff coming into the cabin to clean while I was asleep in the room. We both got quite a fright! No harm done, but very easily avoidable especially for week long stays in self catering rooms which you would not expect to receive cleaning service until you check out.
AAmaliBefore checking in, other reviews said that the uncle at the front desk had a bad attitude, but I met a kind gentleman who patiently guided me, upgraded me to a room with a balcony, and said goodbye to me with a smile when I checked out. It is best to check in before 6 pm. Although the office hours are listed as 8 pm, in fact, the elderly's home seems to get off work at 7 pm.
It is true that it is very noisy. It is located at a T-junction and faces a gas station. There are often speeding motorcycles and strong noises from parking trucks.
The Brisbane River is right next to it, many people are walking/running, and the scenery and air are good!
ZZperanbThe reception staff are helpful. I stayed in a bungalow room this time, but in Cairns where prices are high, the price is quite reasonable. The beds were comfortable. Shower is shared. There is a laundry and a place to hang laundry on site. There was a pool but the water was dirty. Many campers were stopped. It takes less than 10 minutes on foot to the nearest bus stop, and it costs about $ 3 to the city in about 5 minutes from the bus stop. Walking to the city, but less than an hour. There are no shops around, so you can shop at a supermarket in the city. Drinks are sold at the front desk. Be careful as the walk from the bus stop is dark at night.
Mmarcel van den BrandWe arrived late and after dark, but were welcomed by Albert, and guided to our 2bedroom studio.
Jessika made an excellent, too big, pizza with room service, very much appreciated after a long hike in the rainy jungles of Lamington National Park.
The studio was very complete, spacious, clean and comfortable with each bedroom having an ensuite bathroom, one with a bathtub,
Nicely decorated, feeling home away from home.
Jessika and Albert are very kind and caring hosts, much appreciated and recommended !
