This was a wonderful hotel. I highly recommend ordering breakfast. The owner and hostess were wonderful, and the room was so clean I slept like a log. I'd love to come back with my family next time. If you're looking to experience a British B&B, definitely book here. I give it a 10 out of 10. It's a great value for the price and cleanliness compared to other places. Personally, I thought it was incredibly clean. And because the hotel is small, there were a lot of families and people with a sense of community. You can't go without making a reservation in advance. There's a beach near the hotel, and there's a Mexican Inn for dining, but I can't recommend it. It's probably better to ask the hostess. There's also a small pub on site, so you can have a drink in the evening. Because they're British, they're not overly friendly, but they have a comfortable, friendly demeanor. I hope they continue to run this hotel for a long, healthy life. ❤️

The boss is very nice, amiable, enthusiastic, hygienic and very clean. The boss also cooks a hearty breakfast and eats it. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable. The pillows and quilt covers are brand new! Will book this again next time!

Linda and Steve were very hospitable, and we felt warmly welcomed throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was clean and well-maintained. However, the soundproofing could be improved, so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Our room also had a noticeable chemical odour, possibly from the wallpaper. Although we were told it had been there for years, the smell was quite strong, so this may be a concern for guests with asthma or sensitivity to scents. The location is very convenient, around a 10-minute walk to the city centre and also close to the seaside. Overall, it was a good stay, and I would still recommend it.

how this place ever got given 5 stars is ridiculous. It’s so old and outdated it belongs in the ark. And to spend £350 a night for this place is a disgrace. I travel all my life and it’s just not up to scratch. We arrived to be told we couldn’t get breakfast it didn’t start till 8. I said we leave early each day and was told we could have cold food at 7.30. No attempt to do anything. Looks like It was last decorated in the 80’s and I’m honestly shocked how bad a hotel can be at that price. If my wife had been with me I’d have left. I’ll never stay again. No fridge in the room, no ac no extra blankets in the cupboard. Poor all round.

Upon arrival I was shown to my room by the very friendly barman. The first shock was the huge water damage just outside my room. The room was also strange as the shower was in the room itself and had a very odd smell probably due to humidity, mould mixed with air spray. I asked if I could change my room which was luckily possible. The barman who had checked me in was very kind. The new room was lovely, a huge window overlooking the bay. After a good sleep (despite the party on the campsite next door) I was surprised to see noone for check out. Definitely don't book the 3 bed room.

The Farmer’s Arms is a lovely pub with 4 rooms above. We had a twin room for 2 nights and was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the internet was virtually non existent, which I understand is an issue in the area, but caused difficulties planning. Car park is huge and great location as 5 minutes drive to Harlyn Bay Beach and 10 minutes to Padstow. Highly recommend The Golden Lion for dinner in Padstow and absolutely was a hidden culinary gem 💎

The hotel reception was clearly more golf club than hotel. The room was small, and there was a lack of attention to detail. There was a stain on the carpet, a blind that didn't fit the window so didn't keep the light out - curtains would make it feel a lot more cosy. The bathroom and shower were a bit tired. The cooked breakfast was good, but the rest of the selection was limited. Probably wouldn't stay again. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This B&B is perfect for travellers with cars. The hosts are incredibly warm and friendly, and I felt very welcomed here. Although the house is near the road, it is surrounded by a garden, making it very quiet. The rooms are well-equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast can be customised to your liking and is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended to everyone!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and I loved waking up to the beautiful sea view in the morning. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of options. While it's not right in the center of town, the bus stop is just a few minutes away, making it very convenient to get around.

Absolutely perfect in every way. We booked the sunset room and it is modern, spacious, clean, and has a great view out to St Ives bay. The bed and pillows are comfortable, great bathroom and shower, and a nicely equipped kitchen with Nespresso. We really savored and enjoyed every minute staying in the beautiful room. Highly recommended.
